CACB

The Confederation of Commercial and Business Associations of Brazil - CACB is a multi sector organization, constituted of 27 state Federations, representatives of each federative unit of Brazil. These Federations are composed of 2.038 Commercial and Business Associations that represent more than 2.5 million companies in the entire country (natural and artificial persons), incorporating all areas of economic activity.

The CACB is, certainly, the oldest business organization in Brazil and originated in 1912, in Rio de Janeiro, initially under the name of Federation of Commercial Associations of Brazil. The current denomination, Confederation of Commercial and Business Associations of Brazil, dates from 2002 and was altered with the intention of adapting to the reality of the system, that counts more and more with companies from different areas of the Brazilian economy.

It assembles all of the Brazilian's private productive areas, incorporating micro, small, and big companies. It represents and expresses the independent opinion of managers from all sections of the economy: commerce, industry, agricultural, services, finances and autonomous workers. The CACB is qualified to represent the businessman on the National Congress and to act as a technical and consultive organ of the Federal Government to study and solve problems related with the national economy.
